Representative Lynn Finnegan is a mother of two children Luke who is 10, and Pi’ikea who is 14. Lynn is married to Honolulu Fire Department Captain Peter Finnegan. Elected in 2002 she became the Minority House Leader in May of 2005. Her efforts have been primarily centered on improving Hawaii’s economic environment and condition, innovating in the areas of Education to improve results and quality and government fiscal accountability and responsibility.
A strong Republican, Lynn believes personal responsibility and in involving the community she represents in every aspect of her decision making. She constantly seeks out constituent advice and opinion on issues, responding to their requests for information or assistance in every way possible, even investigating bad odors or pet issues by her constituents personally. You will find her often on the streets of District 32 painting over graffiti or addressing community concerns. With a special concern for the future of Hawaii you will find her reading to elementary students, and spending a good portion of her time on raising the next generation of Hawaii, helping to make them the competent leaders Hawaii will need.
